this is what i’m venturing into –a world of closet commen-taters and puny pundits cloaked in anonymity and a snappy interface that puts the sheen on even the most tarnished prose … and ideas

I overheard a conversation not long back between two twenty-somethings–the young woman, smartly dressed and bereft of the usual pants-hanging-off-the-as-to-reveal-the-flower-tatoo was talking to the young man (who had the aforementioned pants and fortunately no scribbling on his low lumbar)

“So, what are you doing for work?”

“Oh, I’m doing a little computer work and blogging …”

At this point, a small geyser of ale had to be choked back by your humble narrator
